The cryo pod is one of the few named machines in Nuclear Neighbors BETA that is not a neighbor. The badge is Cryo Chad: Reach the max upgrade with they cryo pod. The description even keeps the typo. Nuclear Neighbors BETA is a public BETA from Building Adventure on 20-player online servers. The pod is shared space. If three people treat it like a private bed, the hallway jams and someone else gets taken by Hatman. Expect bugs. We will not invent a max-level number the developer never printed.

What the badge actually says

• The object is called a cryo pod in the badge text.
• There are upgrades. “Max upgrade” is a tracked state.
• 25 people had reached that state in the snapshot.
• Building Adventure has not published a material list, Robux shortcut, or upgrade tree on the experience page.

If a Discord screenshot shows “level 5 cryo,” that is a player HUD, not a wiki table. Until the BETA prints the rungs, this page talks in habits: when to invest, when to skip, and how not to grief the bunker.

When the pod helps a run

Use the pod as a pause, not a win. Long Normal days (True survivor at 50, Help me at 100) are where freezing makes sense if the lobby is stable and food is stacked. Read the day ladder on how to survive first. A cryo investment on day 2 while the toilet creature is still farming jumpscares is usually wasted scrap.

HARD (Skin and Bones at 10, Pure Radiation at 50) and DEADLY (THE END IS NEAR at 5, One Above All at 50 with zero awards) punish AFK more than they reward a pretty pod. Difficulty ranks exist so you do not queue DEADLY to “test cryo.” If the room is multiplying Skeleto, freeze later. GET AWAY wants five clean days. A pod animation in the middle of that attempt is a distraction, not a counter.

Shared bunker rules

Call it. “Pod” is enough in a 20-player chat. Do not stand in the only hall while the upgrade menu is open. Do not dump crates on the pod so nobody else can reach it. Police rats and Hatman do not care that you were in a submenu.

If someone else is pushing Cryo Chad, let them finish a rung before you start a joke spin on the wheel. Spin the wheel! has ~2,556 awards. It is a reward loop. It is not a cryo material printer. There are still no confirmed promo codes on the codes hub. Anyone selling a “max cryo code” is inventing strings.

What we will not fake

We do not have a confirmed cost per upgrade. We do not have a confirmed “cryo time equals N days.” We do not have a published interaction that skips Alien Saviors or Cryptid Killer. Mixing the pod into an ending recipe is fanfic until a badge description says so. Cryptid Killer is still 0 awards. Do not park the hunt inside a freezer.

We also do not know whether HARD or DEADLY change upgrade costs. The same neighborhood is reused. If a patch changes the pod, the award rate on Cryo Chad will move. Watch the BETA changelog instead of this paragraph.

How to chase Cryo Chad without wrecking days

1. Finish getting started and a clean Home sick (day 5) so you know the loot loop.
2. Keep the shower and stash usable. Stinky is a 20-day no-shower dare. Do not confuse hygiene with cryo.
3. Upgrade when the lobby is calm, not during a toilet pile-up.
4. Stop at “good enough” if you are hunting day 50. Twenty-five Cryo Chad awards versus forty-eight True survivor awards tells you which grind more people finish.
5. After a patch, re-check prompts. BETA menus move. Controls still means Roblox defaults plus on-screen labels.
