Encounter Rankings

This page is the long table behind the Encounter Tier List Hub. Nuclear Neighbors BETA throws random neighbors at a 20-player bunker. We rank those neighbors by how often their badges fire and how badly they punish a mistake. Counts are from September 2026 research. Where a count was not listed, the cell says so. We do not invent spawn scripts.

Use this with how to survive and the narrative encounters guide. Creature pages live under players. Difficulty day badges are a different ladder; they sit on difficulty ranks and the badge checklist.

S tier — call these out immediately

Hatman. The badge is literally Get taken by Hatman. 1,616 awards means plenty of public-BETA players have already been taken. We do not know the exact AI: no confirmed detection radius, no confirmed walk speed, no confirmed “safe room.” Survival habits that do not require fake numbers: call the sighting in a 20-player lobby, stop treating the grab as a joke screenshot, and read Hatman before you farm the badge on purpose.

Skeleto. The skeleton multiplies. GET AWAY (165 awards) asks you to last five days without multiplying him. Extra bodies in a full server create extra chances to make the pile worse. Do not use Skeleto as a loot pinata. The dedicated page is Skeleto.

Cryptid Killer. 0 awards. Treat it as an unsolved hunt, not a missing tooltip. Do not follow a screenshot that claims a guaranteed spawn. Related neighbors — Bats? nah friend and Child of Radiation — are not proven steps. See cryptids.

Awkward.. Also 0 awards, with a 10-cricket condition in the research notes. Until someone posts a verifiable completion, this sits with the other zero-award hunts. It is optional content. It is not your day-1 objective.

A tier — pressure that you can plan around

Police rats / BUSTED (~1,879). The badge name is the warning. Nearly two thousand public-BETA awards means the bust is common enough to brief, not a secret. Play it as an A-tier fail state: if rats show up, assume you can get busted, and do not drag the event through the only doorway your loot runs use.

Child of Radiation (2,635). Common enough that a long Normal run will see the theme. It is not as rare as Cryo Chad and not as slapstick as the toilet. Keep radiation-related loot decisions conservative until the encounters guide matches what you saw in-game.

Cryo Chad (25). Max upgrade on the cryo pod. Twenty-five awards is tiny next to Toilet troubles. Do not dump the stash into cryo in a chaotic 20-player lobby unless the whole bunker agreed. Rare completions often mean the upgrade is easy to skip or easy to starve for.

Time thief (39). Reach day 10 in under five minutes. That is a speed condition, not a creature sprite. It belongs in A because it punishes sloppy routing. Practice the getting started loop on a calm Normal server before you try to steal time.

B tier — mid-rate neighbors

Bats? nah friend (1,058). Official text: get the vampire friend. Mid-rate awards say a lot of people met the event and lived. Treat friendliness as unproven until the encounter resolves. Do not dump your only food stack into a stranger because the word friend is in the description.

Rotten beans (851). Mutated beans can. Food is how you last days; rotten food is how you waste a stash. If the can looks wrong, it is B-tier for a reason.

Midnight Snack (187). Get five beans in a row from the mysterious fridge. Uncommon compared with toilets and Spin the wheel!. Fridge events in a shared bunker become arguments. Decide as a group whether anyone opens it, then live with the result.

Alien Saviors (340). An ending, not a hallway chase. If you are hunting endings, leave this table and open endings. Do not derail a HARD day-50 attempt to roleplay an alien plot unless that was the session goal.

C tier — common noise and optional dares

Toilet troubles (~40,185). Get jumpscared by the toilet creature. The poster-child pest. Ranked C because frequency is not the same as lethality. You will see it. You should still not ignore it while an S-tier event is active.

Spin the wheel! (2,540). Land on a reward. A common reward interaction. It is here so you do not confuse it with a predator. It is also why some players never look at the codes hub: the wheel is the current free-reward loop, and no official promo codes are confirmed for this public BETA.

Stinky (37). Survive 20 days without showering. That is a hygiene dare, not a monster. Low awards mean few people finish the dare, not that a creature named Stinky patrols the map.

Reading the table in a 20-player lobby

Call S-tier first. Call A-tier second. Let C-tier wait. If two people are screaming about a toilet while Hatman is in the hall, the tier list already failed as communication. Pair this page with how to survive so food, shower, and day targets are not forgotten while you rank monsters.

Rates will move when Building Adventure patches the BETA. Check updates after a spike of new awards. If Cryptid Killer or Awkward.. leaves 0, the hunt is still unsolved — do not backfill a fake walkthrough to make the table look complete.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Nuclear Neighbors BETA players.

Why is the toilet creature C tier if 40,000 people have Toilet troubles?

High awards mean the event is common, not that it is the scariest neighbor. Hatman and Skeleto sit in S because they take or multiply. Rank frequency and lethality separately on the Encounter Tier List Hub.

Why are Cryptid Killer and Awkward.. in S if nobody has the badges?

Zero awards in the September 2026 snapshot means the hunts are unsolved or extremely strict. We will not invent a route. Track them on cryptids and the badge checklist.

Is BUSTED S tier?

A tier. BUSTED has about 1,879 awards — common enough to brief, still a fail state. It is not as run-defining as Hatman's grab.

Where do Normal, HARD, and DEADLY day badges go?

They are mode targets, not hallway creatures. See difficulty ranks. DEADLY day 50 is One Above All at 0 awards.

Are there codes that skip encounters?

No official promo codes are confirmed. Do not trust a list that invents them. Read codes for redeem steps if Building Adventure ever posts one.
