Police rats are the named law in Nuclear Neighbors BETA. The badge is BUSTED: Get busted by the police rats. Our latest snapshot logged about 1,888 awards. That is in Hatman territory (~1,620 takes), not toilet territory (~40,317). A bust is uncommon enough to brief, common enough that you will see one if you play. This roster card is for the arrest. The rest of the random table stays on encounters.

The experience is a public BETA from Building Adventure on 20-player online servers. A bust is a lobby event. If chat yells “rats,” look up from the cryo pod. Rank them on the encounter tier list after you have been busted once.

What we actually know

• The official words are police rats and busted.
• ~1,888 awards means thousands of accounts have hit the fail, not a myth.
• No published wanted-level meter, ticket item, or “pay the fine” prompt is on the Roblox page.
• HARD and DEADLY reuse the same neighborhood. We do not have a “SWAT rat” variant in badge text.

If a clip shows rats in a specific hall, that is one clip. The map still will not name streets the developer never named.

How a bust compares

BUSTED sits near Hatman in award count and above GET AWAY (165). It is below Toilet troubles by an order of magnitude. On the rankings that usually means A-tier: not the first joke, still a run killer if it hits during day 10+.

Do not farm BUSTED on a True survivor (48 awards) or Help me (24) attempt. Do not farm it on DEADLY 5 while THE END IS NEAR is already the hard badge. Learn the event on Normal after getting started.

Rats are not Skeleto. Multiplying a skeleton is a five-day discipline badge. A bust is a discrete “you got caught” stamp. Mixing the two because both are “bad” is how people throw GET AWAY for no reason.

Habits that do not need a fake cop AI

Call “rats.” In a 20-player bunker that is the whole sentence.

Stop the loot split. If half the server sprints to screenshot the arrest, Hatman and the toilet creature get free time.

Do not invent a bribe. Beans from the mysterious fridge (Midnight Snack, 187) are a snack badge. They are not a published payoff. Cryo Chad (25) is a pod upgrade, not a holding cell.

Reset after a bust. Count who is left. Decide if the day still matches your how to survive target. A 20-player lobby that lost two people to rats should not immediately open the cryptid hunt (Cryptid Killer still 0 awards).

No code removes the rats. The codes hub still has an empty official table. Spin the wheel! (~2,556) is a reward roll. Anyone selling “immunity to BUSTED” is inventing strings.

What we will not fake

We do not have a confirmed detection radius. We do not have a confirmed jail timer. We do not have a published item that “makes you legal.” Testers disagree about whether rats patrol or pop. When testers disagree and the BETA is silent, this wiki says unknown.

If a patch changes the bust, the BUSTED award rate will move. Track dates on the BETA changelog and the short map on updates. Do not let a week-old rat story override a new prompt.

Police rats are the arrest joke with Hatman-level awards. Treat a bust as a real interruption in a shared bunker. Call it, keep the stash, and go back to days. For the rest of the roster, use the players hub. That is the card until Building Adventure prints a wanted meter.
