Nuclear Neighbors BETA Child of Radiation
Become a child of radiation — 2,646 awards, still not a published recipe.
Child of Radiation is one of the most awarded named states in Nuclear Neighbors BETA. The badge text is short: Become a child of radiation. Our September 2026 count logged 2,646 awards. That is more than Hatman (~1,621 takes) and far more than Alien Saviors (~340). The transformation is real, common enough to brief every lobby, and still unpublished as a step list. This roster card tells you what the numbers prove and what they do not.
Nuclear Neighbors BETA is a public BETA from Building Adventure on 20-player online servers. If you glow, mutate, or change silhouette, the other nineteen people can see it. Do not treat this as a private ending cutscene. Rank how dangerous the hunt feels on the encounter tier list after you have the stamp, not before.
What the badge actually says
- The official name is Child of Radiation.
- The official description is Become a child of radiation.
- 2,646 accounts had it in the snapshot.
- The badge was created on 26 August 2026 with the encounter wave, not with the HARD day badges.
That last line matters. Pure Radiation is a different badge: survive 50 days in HARD mode, with only 2 awards in the same snapshot. Sharing the word “radiation” does not make them the same trigger. Mixing them is how people throw a Normal transformation hunt into a HARD 50 that almost nobody finishes.
Building Adventure has not printed a radiation meter, a wasteland timer, or a “stand here” prompt on the experience page. If a Discord screenshot shows a bar, that is a player HUD, not a wiki table.
Why the award count is high
High awards usually mean the trigger sits close to normal play. Toilet troubles (~40,363) fires because people use the bathroom. Child of Radiation at 2,646 sits in the same neighborhood as Spin the wheel! (~2,556): lots of players hit it without a dedicated speedrun. That is an inference from counts, not a recipe. It still tells you not to wipe a Help me day-100 save to “find radiation.”
Compare the funnel:
- First day jitters: ~153,708
- Child of Radiation: 2,646
- Alien Saviors: 340
- Cryo Chad: 25
- Cryptid Killer: 0
The child stamp is a mid-run event, not an unsolved cryptid and not a 100-day club. Hunt it on Normal after getting started, with food still on the how to survive loop.
How not to hunt it
Do not stand in the wasteland on a theory. The neighborhood map only guarantees houses, bunker, and wasteland. Radiation mood is in the title. A confirmed “AFK in the glow” method is not.
Do not queue HARD or DEADLY to force it. Skin and Bones (10 days HARD, 18 awards) and THE END IS NEAR (5 days DEADLY, 33 awards) are survival gates. Pure Radiation (50 HARD, 2 awards) is endurance. Child of Radiation is a become-state. Use throwaway Normal days if you want to experiment.
Do not confuse it with the vampire friend. Bats? nah friend (~1,065) is a companion outcome. Child of Radiation is a transformation. They can both fire in the same BETA week. They are not a combo recipe.
Do not dump the lobby. Call “radiation” if your avatar changes. Police rats and the toilet creature will still jump the hall while people screenshot your glow.
No code grants the child. The codes hub is still empty of official strings. Anyone selling a “radiation child code” is inventing text. The wheel is a reward spin, not a mutation printer.
Shared-bunker habits
If you transform mid-loot, finish the callout, check that the badge popped in Roblox inventory, then decide whether the day is still a survival day. A 20-player bunker that just watched a mutation is noisy. Hatman does not pause for fanfare. Skeleto still must not multiply if anyone is on GET AWAY.
If you do not transform after a long wasteland trip, that is not proof the badge is broken. 2,646 awards prove it works for some sessions. Zero proof of your exact path is not a studio bug report by itself. File bugs on a clean client; see the scripts hub if someone offered an injector “to force radiation.”
What we will not fake
We do not have a confirmed exposure time. We do not have a confirmed item that starts the change. We do not have a published link to Alien Saviors or Cryptid Killer. Child of Radiation can sit next to those routes on the endings page because it changes who you are in the bunker, not because we have a three-step ritual.
When a patch changes the state, the award rate will move. Watch the BETA changelog and the short map on updates. Until Building Adventure prints the missing numbers, treat this as a common, completable, unpublished transformation. Play Normal. Keep the stash. Screenshot the badge, not a fake altar.
Child of Radiation is the popular become-state in this public BETA. It is not HARD 50. It is not a cryptid. It is not a promo code. Keep those four sentences in the 20-player chat when someone asks how to glow.
